“It’s like a high school reunion for me,” Michaels said about the upcoming concert. “I think the party pit has about 200 people from my high school.”
Rock star Bret Michaels is looking to give back - and in the process, give people a party to remember - with his upcoming concert at the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course., along with special guests Warrant and a number of local area musicians. Like all concerts held at the outdoor PennHeroes stage, a portion of the proceeds will go towards charitable organizations benefiting first responders and veterans organizations.
I understand you weren’t born in our in our area. But do you consider yourself to be “from” the Mechanicsburg areas? Is that “home” to you? “Absolutely. Number one, I am a I’m a tuber. I’m an inner tuber. That is my peace of mind. I took a bunch of [friends and family], I called them up in the morning [on a recent visit] and I said, ‘Hey, I’m going to be traveling through there from Pittsburgh going up into New York. I got a day off. Let’s go tubing. Meet me at the Yellow Breeches Creek.’ That’s it’s good for my soul. I love it.
What’s your advice fans who want to come out and party with you, if they’re looking for ways to contribute to these causes?
