Quarterback Frank Harris, right, with Cam Peters on the first day of UTSA Fall football camp at the Roadrunner Athletics Center for Excellence, Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022After kicking around his options through the first half of the 2021 season, UTSA running back Brenden Brady had made up his mind.

Offered a second chance, Brady said what had been a difficult decision the previous fall became a “no-brainer.” After an ankle injury limited him to six games as a junior and a forearm issue kept him out of another six games last season, Brady said leading up to the Frisco Bowl that his career “hasn’t really gone the way I wanted it to go and expected it to go, but I definitely feel like it went the way it’s supposed to go for me.”

Traylor said Brady didn't miss any assignments during the team’s return to full practice Wednesday and showed no signs of time away. “They know what I try to bring to the table,” Brady said. “They respect me, and I really appreciate that. To earn their respect, and to earn the new guys’ respect, is something I’m trying to do right now. … You just have to go with the punches, roll with it, and try to fit back in the best you can.”
