Brenden Aaronson has so far struggled to make an impact on loan with Union Berlin. The Leeds United loanee was one of several to depart this summer in the wake of relegation, but is yet to register a goal or an assist for the Bundesliga side.
It has been a difficult start to the season for Union Berlin, with Urs Fischer's side losing their last five league fixtures. Aaronson's new side have also lost their opening two Champions League group-stage matches, falling to a narrow loss at Real Madrid before being beaten on home soil by Braga. The USA international was one of ten summer arrivals in the German capital, with local outlet MOZ via SportWitness ranking each every signing so far. Unfortunately for the Leeds United attacking midfielder, the 22-year-old has been named by the title as one of 'several losers' in the list with an individual score of five out of 10.
Aaronson struggled in his solitary season at Elland Road, netting just once and losing his place in the starting eleven during the relegation run-in. The loanee has retained his place in the USA squad, and could feature in friendlies against Germany or Ghana in the current international break.
