The Irishman hasn't seen any comments but wants his side to upset the predictions.
But Brendan Rodgers reckons his Hoops side might just make a few of them eat their words. This is a big part of the reason he came back to the club in the summer – even if he knows in financial terms his side are taking a pea shooter into a gun fight. Rodgers said: “We are looking forward to it. We are taking on the best teams in Europe, and that’s a great challenge from a players and coaching perspective.
“It’s the best competition to be in. There will no doubt be challenges – and difficulties – along the way, but we will do everything we can to overcome them.”
