Gauteng Premier to appoint independent investigator to probe allegations tied to Babita Deokaran murder
North West police are searching for two awaiting trial detainees who allegedly escaped from lawful custody at the weekend.
The Gauteng premier’s office will appoint an independent forensic investigator to probe the allegations emerging from the Babita Deokaran murder case. The pair, aged 26 and 27, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to their heads and bodies, police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said.Their identities are not known.
