Breaking Bad star Betsy Brandt shares a memory of seeing Bryan Cranston crying after he finished filming one of the show’s toughest scenes.
Breaking Bad star Betsy Brandt recalls Bryan Cranston crying after filming his toughest scene. Throughout its run, the award-winning series had a number of moments that thrilled audiences but also tested their patience, sparking discussions and heated debates over the decisions the characters made. An early example of this came in Breaking Bad season 2, episode 12, in which Walter White accidentally causes the death of Jane Margolis .
The actor, who played Marie Schrader, shared that the Breaking Bad cast took part in an annual group photo. But, after being overwhelmed by the filming of Jane's death, Brandt saw Cranston's emotion and how he took a moment to gather himself. Brandt's quote is below: Brandt: I saw him right after that. That was a tough scene. I mean, it’s funny, we would do a class picture every year. Okay, everybody would come and do a class picture and he was crying, like, because you hold it together. He wasn’t in the corner alone. Someone was hugging him. It was like—it was tough.
