Brazilian air force investigators are collaborating with colleagues from three other countries to analyze data from the black box and other instruments of an Embraer 190 aircraft that crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. The plane, en route from Baku to Grozny, was diverted before the incident.

Wounded passengers of the Azerbaijani Airline’s plane crashed near the Kazakhstani city of Aktau, are transported from a medical plane at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport outside Baku, Azerbaijan, Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that that the aircraft was hit by fire from the ground over Russia and was rendered uncontrollable by electronic warfare. He accused Russia of trying to “hush up” the issue for several days.
