Brazil's far-right President, Jair Bolsonaro, has posted an explicit video on Twitter in an apparent effort to denigrate the country's raucous Carnival celebrations.

The President, known for his homophobia, asked his 3.4 million Twitter followers on Tuesday to draw their own conclusions about the video, which showed one man apparently urinating on another -- an act known as a golden shower.

Bolsonaro March 6, 2019 Carnival is a famously LGBT-friendly annual event that sees tens of thousands of revelers party into the early hours of the morning on streets across the country in the lead-up to Ash Wednesday. This year's iteration has turned into an opportunity to criticize the President, with revelers mocking Bolsonaro with chants, costumes and masks. Partygoers have uploaded footage from across the country of huge crowds chanting obscenities against the President.
