I might be revealing my age here a bit, but remember that time when the Disney Channel crossed three of their biggest shows? Between Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and That's So Raven, Disney gave us Disney kids That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana.
It was an epic three-part event that allowed the characters from all three worlds to interact in each other's as fans received the experience the fan fiction of their fantasies. Well, now Bravo is about to give reality fans the ultimate crossover experience. As recently revealed, Below Deck Down Under is embarking on another journey on the high seas. But they're not alone! They'll be joined by the incredible cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Yes, that's right. The official Bravo crossover event is happening. Many of us have dreamed of an all-star season of Below Deck with a bevy of the best of the best working together, but we're getting that and more. Many of us dreamed of an entire charter made up of all Housewives, and we're getting it with arguably the best cast yet. Is this just the tip of the iceberg? 'Below Deck Down Under' and 'RHOSLC' Made Major Casting Reveals When Bravo shared the now infamous Instagram post, a few major revelations were made. First and foremost, the Season 6 cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, officially including Mary M. Cosby and Angie Katsanevas, will be charter guests on Below Deck Down Under Season 4, which just began filming. But furthermore, it revealed the cast announcement for Below Deck Down Under. And it is its own crossover moment. Captain Jason Chambers is back at the helm alongside Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher from Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Chef Ben Robinson of Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean fame. It's truly an all-star lineup on the high seas. From a Below Deck perspective, the fact that Daisy is joining Captain Jason highlights the sad reality that perhaps Below Deck Sailing Yacht is over. With the controversy surrounding Gary King, it's evident that the show may be beyond"on pause." Likely not wanting to lose Daisy, moving her over to Below Deck Down Under allows a new incredible Captain-Chief Stew relationship to form. As far as Chef Ben, it's been some time since he's worked a charter season on Bravo, but his return means things are certainly going to be spicy. For Below Deck fans, this is the chance to see three already established top-tier personalities unite and see how their Bravo egos fare in a working situation. The reality is, this isn't just a TV show for them. It's their job. Perhaps part of the reason why Bravo is bringing in the ringers is that they have to handle a cast of high-maintenance Housewives. After the explosive Season 5 ended, many RHOSLC fans begged to see the cast return intact, calling it the best season of all. Bravo gave the ladies a gift by sending them on a yacht because, well, they earned it. With battle lines drawn, knowing how heated this cast can get, expect drama at every turn. Below Deck has seen some fights from charter guests in the past, but they've not endured an entire group of women known for drama. As long as Heather Gay doesn't suggest playing a highly damaging game during the final dinner, it shouldn't be rocky waters. But this is RHOSLC. Has there ever been a peaceful meal? Posts Bravo Has Explored Different Cross Over Styles in the Past Close Now, you might be thinking that this isn't the first time Bravo has united their stars on one screen. You'd be right. But it's the first time in this capacity that it's likely going to appear on both shows as separate storylines, one focusing on the crew and the other focusing on the ladies. Yes, there have been many Housewives who have appeared as charter guests in the past, including Heather Gay on Below Deck Adventure, but those were cameos. Summer House was essentially a backdoor pilot coming out of Vanderpump Rules. Winter House was its own entity that combined a handful of Bravo's all-stars through the lens of Summer House. Then, of course, there's Real Housewives Ultimate Girls' Trip. While many of us imagined that being the gateway onto a Below Deck crossover, this iteration is much preferred. We want to see who will be bunking with who and who's getting that master suite! By combining so many of the best fan-favorite personalities, Bravo is giving fans an opportunity to view the shows through a new vantage. Not only does it illuminate how impressive the two franchises are, it means that Bravo is listening. We've been dreaming of this, and we're going to get it! Absolutely, the expectations are sky-high, but if it goes off without a hitch, it could set up a precedent for future crossover moments. We haven't even seen what is about to come out of this crossover. Will it appear on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City? Will it appear on Below Deck Down Under? Will it be both? Can we watch it simultaneously? Whatever the outcome is, I just know that we will all be sat. This might be the most exciting Bravo announcement, well, ever!
