Brandy will release her first memoir, which will reflect on her life and career including 'Moesha' and 'Cinderella.'
will go back to the beginning in her forthcoming memoir, set for release on Oct. 7. The currently untitled project will span the life and career of the 45-year-old musician and actress who came to fame as a young teenager. “This memoir is more than a book,”The book, which Brandy described as being “one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life,” will be released by Hanover Square Press.
The memoir will begin in McComb, Mississippi, where Brandy grew up singing in church. Her foundational experience there set the stage for an illustrious music career. She signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 1993 and within a decade had cemented herself as the “Vocal Bible” with albums including“I’ve experienced unforgettable highs,” Brandy continued. “But what you didn’t see were the struggles behind the scenes, the trials that tested my spirit and shaped the woman I am today.
