The Research Associate will have extensive experience with mouse genetics, stereotactic mouse surgeries and tissue dissections, mammalian cell culture, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and scRNA-seq analysis with R.
The Research Associate will perform independent research on the pediatric brain tumor medulloblastoma. The Research Associate will have extensive experience with mouse genetics, stereotactic mouse surgeries and tissue dissections, mammalian cell culture, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and scRNA-seq analysis with R. The Research Associate will be able to guide and supervise the work of other staff and trainees in the lab.
Integrates results from cell culture and molecular experiments to further generate hypotheses that will be tested functionally using a variety of assays both in vitro and in vivo .Edits drafts of papers/reports coming from less experienced trainees.Guides and supervises the work of other staff and trainees in the lab.Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.Experience with mouse genetics, stereotactic mouse surgeries and tissue dissections, mammalian cell culture, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and scRNA-seq analysis with R. Has solid knowledge of the biological principles driving medulloblastoma, and proven experience with implementation of the techniques listed above.Experience with cell culture, cutting edge molecular techniques and animal handling is a desired.Share this job
