San Antonio Brahamas select UIW product Justin Alexandre, highlighting XFL draft day

The San Antonio Brahamas opened the defensive front seven portion of the XFL draft by selecting Incarnate Word product Justin Alexandre in the first round, highlighting a busy day of additions as XFL teams set the foundations of their rosters.
A native of Elmont, N.Y., Alexandre signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent, sticking with the team through training camp and the preseason before landing among the final cuts leading up to the 2019 regular season. Running back Jacques Patrick was San Antonio’s top pick of offensive skill players, going No. 3 overall. A Florida State product, Patrick played for the Tampa Bay Vipers in the 2020 XFL and bounced around NFL practice squads in Cincinnati, San Francisco, Carolina and Baltimore the past two years.
