Brace for a chilly weekend as snow predicted for parts of the country
The South African Weather Service has warned of a chance of snow in the high-lying areas of the Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Northern Cape on Sunday.
On Thursday, forecaster Wayne Venter said SAWS could not say what would happen after Monday because the system was difficult to predict. "It all depends on where the system is going to move closer to the weekend because it still needs to develop," the SAWS said. It will be partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south-east.with isolated to scattered showers along the south coast and adjacent interior in the morning.The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly. will be partly cloudy in the north, otherwise cloudy and cold temperatures are forecast, with isolated showers and rain.
