Brighton, N.Y. — A lawsuit filed against McQuaid Jesuit alleges that a "boys will be boys philosophy" created the "perfect conditions for bullying, sexual harassment , and sexual predation of students by their peers."
The federal lawsuit accuses the school of being "indifferent" to a student's "reports of bullying and sex based harassment." According to court paperwork, a student, identified by the pseudonym "Joseph Doe," attempted to strangle himself with a tie and wrote a suicide note inside the nurse's office after being harassed.The school shared a statement with 13WHAM Thursday.
