Here are some of the top returning runners to keep tabs on during the 2024 N.J. cross country season.
Top: Christian Brothers' Joe Barrett & Ridgewood's Luke Pash; Bottom: Manalapan's Clay Stevens & Bernards Brody WattFrom Bergen County to Cape May County, you’ll find Division I talent in every region of in N.J., which makes winning a conference, sectional, or state title extremely challenging for athletes across the state.
To recognize the top runners across the state, NJ Advance Media selected 60 athletes across North, Central, and South Jersey who will compete for not only individual awards this fall, but will also make an impact on their respective school’s chances of winning team competitions all season long. Please note, athletes listed from North Jersey represent conferences from the Big North Conference, Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, North Jersey Interscholastic Conference, Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic League, Super Essex Conference and Union County Conference.
Central Jersey will feature competitors from the Colonial Valley Conference, Greater Middlesex Conference, Shore Conference and Skyland Conference.
