Boys basketball power rankings from the past week of action around the Houston area.

Below are the Chronicle's weekly Houston high school boys basketball power rankings. Rankings are based on overall and recent performances, quality wins, strength of schedule and team accomplishments.The Buffalos’ winning streak is up to 13 games, and they remain undefeated in District 20-5A play. Marshall picked up two district wins last week against Willowridge, 74-29, and Kempner, 76-34.

If Furr wins its final two District 21-4A games and Washington defeats Scarborough, the teams will decide whether to play a tiebreaker game or flip a coin to see who will get the No. 1 seed for the playoffs.The Cougars captured their third straight district championship with a 55-41 victory over Memorial in District 17-6A action. Cypress Creek, which is riding a five-game winning streak, also defeated Cypress Ridge last week, 76-35.The Bulldogs are on a three-game District 21-6A winning streak.
