Antonian continued its dominance over its biggest rival with a hard-fought 77-71 victory over Central Catholic on Wednesday night at Alamo Convocation Center.

The score was tied at 67 with 2:21 left in the fourth quarter before the Apaches finished strong with Fox providing 8 points as part of a 10-4 run to end the game. Fox also accounted for the other 2 points with an assist to George. It was a tight first half as the lead changed hands eight times. The largest lead the Apaches had in the first half was seven after George, who scored most of his points inside, showed some range by nailing a 3-pointer for an 18-11 lead with 2:07 left in the first quarter.

Fox’s dish to George put the Apaches ahead 71-67 with 1:26 left. Devora made a 3-pointer 10 seconds later to pull the Buttons to within one.
