IPOH: An eight-year-old boy and a 54-year-old man were killed after they were involved in an accident involving their motorcycle and a trailer truck in Taiping.
Taiping OCPD Asst Comm Osman Mamat said the accident that killed Mohammd Raiyan Danish Abdullah and his stepfather Mohd Subir Mahamad Isa took place at Jalan Ipoh, Butterworth, at 11.30am on Monday .
“We received an alert from the public about the accident at KM90.4 of Jalan Ipoh, Butterworth, involving a trailer truck and a motorcycle. “Our initial investigation revealed that the trailer was from Kampung Dew and was heading to a factory. The trailer wanted to make a left turn before ramming the motorcycle that was on the left of the truck and heading in the same direction," he said.
The police have arrested trailer driver, Johari Ahmad, 53 and the case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
