Chintzia McIntrye died aged 48 after police, paramedics and air ambulance were called to 'serious assault'
A 17-year-old boy appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was found dead outside her home.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Friday, charged with her murder. Appearing via video link to HMP Wetherby wearing a grey prison issue jumper, he spoke only to confirm his name and was not asked to enter a plea.A trial, scheduled to last five days, was set for January 29 next year. The Honorary Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary KC remanded the youth into custody ahead of a further hearing on November 17.
"The charge relates to an incident which police were called to at around 9.40am on Tuesday 29 August in Phoenix Place, Warrington. Chintzia McIntyre, 48, had been seriously assaulted and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
