A boy, 12, was arrested
A boy was caught on camera on top of a derelict Stockport building before being arrested by cops following a tense stand-off. Police were called to Wellington Road South on Tuesday afternoon to reports of an 'antisocial behaviour incident'.
Traffic was diverted as Tactical Aid Unit officers arrived at the scene. GMP later said a boy, 12, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage; and section 18 assault.READ MORE: Police cordon off A6 after 'more than 20 windows smashed' at building near Stockport College "One of them was up there for a good 45 minutes to an hour on the roof, chucking glass into the street and putting up his middle fingers. He was throwing glass into the road and at police and buses.
The building, which stands empty, was formerly used by Stockport College. Students and staff are now in a building next door.
