A police cordon was in place for hours outside Primark and Lush
A schoolboy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man suffered knife wounds. Police were called to Church Street in the city centre on Thursday, August 22 at around 8.55pm. It followed a report a 21-year-old man had been found with injuries to his body 'consistent with a bladed weapon being used', police said. Detectives said it is believed the victim was involved in an argument with around seven young males before the incident happened.
Officers remained on scene until the next day. Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone who was in Church Street on the evening of Thursday, August 22 to come forward. We are also asking for anyone who recorded the incident on their mobile phone to share the footage with us so we can continue to make progress with our investigation.
