The teenager was crossing Cochranemill Road at around 7.20pm on Thursday, October 5, when he was struck by a motorbike.
Police said the motorcyclist initially stopped after the collision but had driven away by the time officers arrived at the scene. Inspector Lorna McLaren said:"The young boy involved in this incident has been left injured as a result."When the incident happened the area would have been busy with cars and pedestrians.
