A boy was accidentally shot by a family member early Friday in the Marynook neighborhood.
A family member tried to take out a handgun from his pants pocket just after midnight in the 1400 block of East 87th Street when the gun went off, according to police.
The 12-year-old was grazed on the left hand and was transported to Comer Children's Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.DAILY NEWSLETTERthat I have read and agree
