An 11-year-old boy was charged in a Chicago carjacking in Mount Greenwood in November, CPD says. The crime was captured on security video.
CHICAGO -- An 11-year-old boy has been charged in a carjacking in Chicago's Mount Greenwood neighborhood last November, Chicago police said Thursday.
The boy was also seen in a stolen vehicle in the 7300-block of South Francisco Avenue on November 13., police said.On Thursday, the boy was taken into custody in the 6700-block of South Honore Street by the CPD Vehicular Hijacking Task Force. He has been charged with a felony county of aggravated hijacking with a weapon and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to property.
Still traumatized, the woman asked not to be on camera as she reacted to the arrest of an 11-year old boy, who along with at least three other males, are accused of carjacking her and her adult daughter at gunpoint. A neighbor's doorbell security camera captured the bold daytime crime that happened in the driveway of the woman's house.
