Elsewhere at the domestic box office, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” ended the four-week box office reign of Universal and Illumination’s animated “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which slid to second place with $18.6 million from 3,909 theaters. It’s the highest-grossing film of the year with $518 million domestically and $1.15 billion globally.
