A deadly shooting on Bourbon Street in New Orleans has left the city shaken, particularly with major events like the Sugar Bowl and the upcoming Super Bowl on the horizon. Experts say the attack's goal is to instill fear and disrupt public gatherings. This tragedy has also deeply affected Louisiana State University students, many of whom frequent Bourbon Street.
Former Portland State University sociology professor Randall Blazak said the goal of attacks like these is to make people afraid to congregate in public.
“It’s really a challenge for people to be able to mitigate the risk but also the emotional impacts of things like this,” said Blazak. “All my friends and their parents are all trying to figure out and make sure everyone’s okay,” she said.Tiger Bech played footballJack confirmed the news on X, writing, “Love you always brother!
