The Daniel clan are understood to be 'absolutely livid'.
The pair are understood to be brothers and responsible for ramming a car into the £340,000 home belonging to Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel's partner, Avril Connell earlier this week.
Now it is claimed that high-ranking members of the Daniel clan have put up a four-figure sum for information on the whereabouts of the brothers. "As always happens with things like this, the guys responsible make themselves scarce. The brothers have gone to ground but the Daniels are desperate to find them. They want to know where they are and where they've gone and they're prepared to pay to find out."
The six thugs behind the attack - which saw his tongue shredded and his teeth and jaw bone exposed, leaving medics believing he'd been shot - were jailed for more than 100 years.
