Organizers encouraged participants taking the MBTA to the rally to get off the T a few stops early and to walk to Boston Common, extending their visibility in what they are calling"Pathways to Power." "We're asking people to bring friends, bring their signs, chant, and also keep an eye on each other's safety," Winter said. At the Common rally, expected speakers include elected officials like Gov. Maura Healey and Sen. Ed Markey, and others, including , the Milford teen who was detained last year by ICE on his way to volleyball practice. Also scheduled to speak are representatives from ACLU of Massachusetts and the Boston Labor Council. Over 50 organizations will be teaching demonstrators about activism, according to organizers.
