Title contender ‘beats out’ several NBA rivals in trade for championship-winning star
Jrue Holiday said he wanted to retire with the Bucks, but now he’s with one of their top competitors in the Eastern Conference.
On Wednesday, the Blazers acquired Holiday, an unprotected first-round pick and two unprotected pick swaps from the Bucks along with Deandre Ayton and Toumani Camara from the Suns in the three-team deal. Holiday played the last three seasons with the Bucks, playing a key role in the team’s championship run in 2020-21 after they traded for him midseason.
