A member of the Harvard athletics team, Bossong said her maiden stint in the tournament is part of her preparation for her upcoming NCAA regional stint in the United States as well as her bid to reach the Olympic qualifying standard for Paris. Meanwhile, Loraña timed 1:51.32 to rule the men’s side ahead of closest pursuers David Paul Matibag of Mandaluyong and Oyamkerl Espinosa of University of Santo Tomas .
In men’s 4x100m relay, Sabah Athletics pocketed the gold medal with 40.86sec to beat Philippine Navy and University of Mindanao .
