Bose is releasing its latest product, the Ultra Open Earbuds, exclusively with culture brand Kith. They have a very unique clip-on design and cost $300.
Well, this is certainly an unconventional way to introduce what looks like a very unconventional product. Bose just announced the Ultra Open Earbuds, an open-style pair of buds with a very unique design that leaked earlier this month. They’re meant to clip onto your outer ear to preserve total environmental awareness whenever you’re listening to them. And they’re priced at a hefty $300.
Just like the now-discontinued Bose Frames, these feature Bose’s OpenAudio technology to direct music towards you ears without disturbing others. Battery life is rated at 7.5 hours of continuous listening. And as with Bose’s other “Ultra” products, these include the company’s proprietary spatial audio processing. But as for water resistance, driver design, and other technical specs, all of that’s to come later. Like I said, it’s a strange way to go about things.
