Find out which set of noise-canceling headphones is right for you: ForbesFinds
But should you shell out the cash for the Bose QuietComfort 35 II, or should you save your cash and go for the Bose QuietComfort 25 instead? Or should you steer clear of the headphones altogether, and go for something like the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones? We put the two headphones head to head to find out. The first thing you’ll notice about these headphones is their design, and they both look typically Bose.
In general, these headphones tie in the design department. They look almost identical, with the only real difference being that one has a wire sticking out of it. Of course, that said there are other noise-cancelling headphones that are slightly better-looking, like the aforementioned Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. Both of these headphones have the word “comfort” in their name, so you should expect them to be pretty darn comfortable.
But what are the differences? Well, there aren’t many, at least when it comes to comfort. We think most will be perfectly happy with their comfort-level, including for long-haul flights. When it comes to sound quality, they both offer a similar sound -- but it’s not exactly the same. Both of the two headphones offer excellent bass response, which helps give things like kick drums and bass guitars a little extra oomph.
