Over the last 10 years, few crime franchises have become as popular as Bosch , which is largely due to the overwhelming stardom of Titus Welliver.
Welliver first suited up as the LA detective in a handful of seasons in the Prime Video original series that first arrived back in 2014, and only one year after it went off the air in 2021, Welliver returned for a sequel series, Bosch: Legacy. Fans felt Bosch: Legacy had the power to be around for years, but viewers were taken aback when it was revealed that the show would be canceled after three seasons.
Bosch fans still have a surplus of content to enjoy, though, including the first spin-off, Ballard, and a new prequel show starring Cameron Monaghan that will focus on Bosch's younger days. Almost every streaming service has attempted to recreate Bosch's magic, but Netflix has come the closest with its hit legal thriller series, The Lincoln Lawyer.
While there are differences to pick apart between Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer - most notably that one is a cop drama and the other is a legal thriller - there are plenty of similarities due to the inspiration behind each show. Both Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer are inspired by the writings of Michael Connelly... So why does it make you sad when they cancel a show and leave their fans in despair, also known as a cliffhanger?
Because the story cannot be finished... The audience's emotion and wait for what more would happen..
