Hornets coach James Borrego constantly thinking, ‘What would Pop do’
“He is one of those rare people that you think about on a daily basis,” Borrego said of his former boss during his two stints with the Spurs.

Popovich said it’s been “thrilling” watching Borrego progress from a humble start with the Spurs as their video coordinator to becoming an assistant coach to earning a head coaching job.Borrego suggested that Spurs All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray isn’t getting enough attention for his performance as a playmaker.
