In Borderlands 4, we're once again stepping into the shoes of vault hunters in one of the biggest releases in September 2025. Adventures on the novel planet Kairos are coming to most major gaming platforms, but they have disparate release dates and specific launch times you'll want to be cognizant of if you're looking to jump in right away. Quick Links Borderlands 4 Launch Times By Region On PS5, Xbox Series X/S, & PC September 12, 2025 Borderlands 4's initial release date of September 12 has been set for some time, but publisher 2K only recently divulged when exactly the game will launch on that day. For those playing Borderlands 4 on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, most of the world will have access to the game at midnight local time on September 12. The exception is the United States, in which Borderlands 4 releases at midnight Eastern Time for the whole country, so the other time zones will actually see its release late on September 11. PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Launch Times The PC release time of Borderlands 4, on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, is a bit more straightforward. Borderlands 4 will become available at the same time all around the globe, offset from midnight Singapore Standard Time. This means if you're in the U.S. and playing on PC, you'll have a significant chunk of September 11 to play Borderlands 4 ahead of its official release date on September 12. PC Launch Times Borderlands 4 Launch Times By Region On Nintendo Switch 2 October 3, 2025 The Switch 2 is getting Borderlands 4 a bit later than other platforms on October 3. It does, however, mimic the other home consoles in its release schedule. Most regions will get access to Borderlands 4 on Switch 2 at midnight local time, except for in the United States, where the whole country sees the game's release at midnight Eastern. Switch 2 Launch Times 2K doesn't explicitly clarify, but it can be surmised that Mountain and Central Times will have access to the game at 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM respectively on their individual console launch days.
