SAN ANTONIO - The U.S. Customs and Border Protection will soon release a report on their involvement in stopping the Robb Elementary School shooting, which tragically took the lives of 19 children and 2 teachers.
The agency says the report is designed to evaluate personnel, examine the facts, and determine if any actions need to be taken to improve next time. The report determined that the current CBP training on active shooter response did not adequately prepare responding personnel to deal with this situation. It did not prepare them for a number of factors – including when the shooter is behind a locked door, no first responders had access to a school layout, or knew how to obtain keys.
