Select Home Affairs offices will be open this Saturday to assist South Africans that struggle to make it to a branch during the week.

The Department of Home Affairs is continuing to open selected offices on Saturdays to increase access to services, mainly for clients who are unable to visit their offices on weekdays.

“We encourage clients to take advantage of the extended hours on Saturdays to collect documents they have applied for,” the department said. Home Affairs minister Aaron Motsoaledi recently approved a temporary extension of operating hours at from offices by two hours from 08h00 to 17h30.
