Classes were suspended at New Era Elementary School in Quezon City on Monday morning following a bomb scare.
anonymous texter threatening a bomb explosion at 5:30 a.m. “May itinanim ako na bomba sa New Era Elementary School pag naapakan ito ay sasabog!” the text stated.
The school principal, Chelma Cabatic, immediately went to Holy Spirit Police Station 14 to report the bomb threat and request for an inspection. But after a check by the police, the threat turned out to be a hoax and the area was declared clear of any explosive. Around 6,000 elementary and high school students were affected by the fake bomb threat.
