Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his home in Mumbai early Thursday morning and underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital, according to media reports. The 54-year-old actor, known for his roles in numerous films and television series, was injured along with a female employee at his residence. Police stated that the intruder broke into the house around 2:30 a.m. and fled after the attack.
Two of the six wounds sustained by Khan were described as deep, with one located near his spine. Khan's wife, Kareena Kapoor, a prominent Bollywood actress in her own right, released a statement confirming the incident and requesting patience from the media and fans while the police conduct their investigations. She assured the public that the family was doing well.Khan, who is also a successful movie producer, has a long and decorated career in Indian cinema. He is the son of former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore. Over the years, he has earned numerous accolades, including seven Filmfare Awards and the prestigious Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India.
