Colour clashes for the Springboks when facing Ireland and Scotland aren't new, but World Rugby has taken things to a new level for the World Cup as it aims to be more inclusive when it comes to colour blindness.

The Springboks will have to wear an alternative kit for their World Cup group stage games against Scotland and Ireland.

When the Springboks play the All Blacks in London next week, it will be in their traditional green and gold jerseys, but the world champions will face kit issues at the Rugby World Cup.However, for their World Cup games the Boks will play in an assortment of colours, according to, to accommodate World Rugby's inclusivity regulations relating to those with colour vision deficiency - or colour blindness - for the tournament.

When the Boks hosted Scotland in Mbombela in 2013, a game that marked Siya Kolisi's famed Test debut, the Boks were in their change strip, the first time in the professional era that the sides dipped into the change strip art when playing against each other.
