BOJ's Ueda sees progress in hitting price goal, but not enough to end easy policy

REUTERS/Issei Kato/File PhotoNAGOYA, Japan - Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Monday the likelihood of the country achieving the central bank's 2% inflation target was gradually increasing but not enough to end ultra-loose monetary policy.
"We're seeing more positive signs than before in corporate wage and price-setting behaviour. But there's still uncertainty on whether the positive cycle will strengthen, as we predict," he said.
