Due to a large water main leak, the Richland Borough Water Company has issued a boil water advisory effective immediately until further notice.Officials said that residents, should bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
The water company staff will be taking bacteriological samples to ensure the safety of the water. Residents will be informed when it will no longer be necessary to boil water in Richland.
