A study commissioned by the city found that residents want “more art and culture' in the fast-growing Hill Country town.

In Boerne , the city government's long-term planning is usually focused its rapid population growth. But city leaders are also looking for ways to boost Boerne 's arts scene and highlight its cultural heritage. A research firm hired by the city has laid out a five-year plan aimed at doing just that.

Boerne City Council OKs $138M budget with focus on capital projects The research firm spoke with more than 250 residents, coming to the conclusion that Boerne’s culture is “refined while also being rooted in its heritage and the landscape of the Hill Country,' according to its presentation. According to Keen’s research, the vast majority of residents interviewed said they want “more art and culture,” including murals, theaters or museums.
