There's a new tentative deal on the table between Boeing and the International Association of Machinists (IAM) to keep more than 30,000 workers on the line.

between Boeing and the International Association of Machinists to keep more than 30,000 workers on the assembly line, not the picket line.

“Bottom line it's absolutely unacceptable. Everything from, I mean second, third year, they wanted to do a 4% gross wage increase, so that's inflation, that's what the inflation rate's at,” Francis King told KOMO, standing outside the Everett plant. “If they can pay a CEO $35 million a year, that's what, the best they can do? You know Tom Brady for example, if you wanted to see him on the team, he always took the pay cut,” Alexander, another union machinist said from his car, when got off work.

The negotiations to reach this deal, the union said, lasted more than 27 days in a hotel room and involved plenty of give and take. But many union members started to feel as though their union gave more than it got in return. Felton said that he’s only been with Boeing a few years. He said he was a store manager for Domino's and Papa John's in the past where he made the same hourly wage he’s making now.

Felton said he’s worked more than 60 hours of overtime each pay period, to make sure he’s got extra rent payments since his lease is up and he has to move.
