Akron Police released bodycam footage Saturday after a man was shot and killed by an officer earlier this month.
The video shows police lunge into the U-Haul and the U-Haul then drives away with the officers inside.“What’s going on?” Jones replied.During the altercation, the U-Haul truck moves and shots are fired.A lawyer representing Jones’ family released a statement following the release of the bodycam: A separate investigation will be conducted internally by Akron’s Officer of Professional Standards and Accountability, which will provide its results to the chief of police and the police auditor.
