Body in suitcase: Victim was murdered over 12 hours prior, says acting Selangor police chief

SUNGAI BULOH: The dead man found stuffed in a suitcase by the side of the North-South Expressway was murdered over 12 hours before being dumped.

Acting Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk S. Sasikala Devi said the post-mortem showed the victim was killed more than 12 hours before his body was hacked up and dumped.

"We still cannot ascertain the victim's identity," she told a press conference at the Sungai Buloh police headquarters on Thursday .Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Shafa'aton Abu Bakar said on Wednesday that the cause of death had been identified as multiple blunt force and sharp object-related injuries. A human torso and other body parts had been found along the NSE on Tuesday morning by a man who immediately called the police.
