Galveston Island Beach Patrol officials said four people saw the body around 2 a.m. Tuesday by the shoreline and brought it onto the sand.

Galveston Island Beach Patrol officials said the body was recovered around 2 a.m. Tuesday after four people spotted it by the shoreline and brought it onto the sand. Police determined that it was one of the missing twins — but not which one — by the clothes he was wearing.Family members identified the two as Jefferson and Josue Perez, 13, according to media reports. The boys were swimming near Pleasure Pier at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday when they went missing. Their family searched for them for about an hour before calling police.
According to the twins’ parents, the two were about 20 yards from the pier in waist- to chest-high water close to Seawall Boulevard and 25th Steet.
