The body was found on Saturday afternoon near Haugh Island, Logierait in Tayside.
The body of a man has been found in the River Tay following a search for a missing man who was swept away last weekend during floods.
Police, fire crews, a boat team, a helicopter and an army vehicle have all been involved in a huge search operation as they tried to locate the missing man during the horror floods. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25 pm on Saturday, 14 October 2023, the body of a man was recovered from the River Tay, near Haugh Island, Logierait in Tayside.
