UPDATE: Police say body recovered in the Delaware River in Port Richmond is 'strongly believed' to be the missing 2-year-old girl from the Bucks County flooding pending an autopsy.
A child’s body that was recovered in the Delaware River in the Port Richmond area Friday evening is"strongly believed," to be the missing 2-year-old from the Bucks County flooding last weekend, according to the police.
After an e911 call at 5:04 p.m. a white girl, approximately 2-years-old, body was pulled from the river by a boat near 3900 Delaware Avenue, police said.Fire Chief Tim Brewer said based on the child's physical description and clothing she is believed to be missing 2-year-old Matilda Shields.
