The BobaFett finale poster includes 25 new & classic characters 😱 Who shows up for the final battle? 🤔
The official poster for the upcoming season finale of The Book of Boba Fett brings together a staggering twenty-five characters, suggesting the ambitious scale of the episode. Originally announced as a spinoff at the end of The Mandalorian season 2, The Book of Boba Fett follows the eponymous former bounty hunter and the assassin Fennec Shand as they take over Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire on Tatooine.
However, that all changed when episode 5, “Chapter 5: Return Of The Mandalorian,” was released, and fans were surprised with what was in all but name the first episode of The Mandalorian season 3. Establishing what the bounty hunter Din Djarin had been up to since delivering Grogu to Luke Skywalker, episode 5 was an exciting one, rich with Star Wars references and Easter eggs that pushed Fett out of his own show.
The poster doesn’t necessarily suggest that all these characters will be in the finale - the Tusken Raiders, for example, perished at the hands of the Nikto gang in episode 3, and Cobb Vanth’s fate is uncertain after being shot by Cad Bane at the end of episode 6. However, it does hint that Book of Boba Fett will get the ambitious, exciting ending it deserves after the last two episodes.
The poster also reunites Din and Grogu, possibly hinting at the choice Grogu will make after being issued an ultimatum at the end of episode 6. After taking the sharp left turn The Book of Boba Fett has taken in the last two episodes - largely leaving its main character in the dust - it’s impossible to predict what is going to happen in the season finale on Wednesday.
